Stray cat takes over his stable.
Poor Rex has been made homeless. As he walked out of his stable a few days ago to go on excercise, a stray cat walked in and turned it into a maternity ward! Mother and kittens are being looked after by the staff and poor Rex has had to move into a spare stable. Will post photos of the intruders when we can get a good look at them.

BARLEYFIELD DRESSAGE 15 JANUARY 2012 Karen took Wilaan, Rex and Blackie to Barleyfield, where they had another successful day.
They came home with 4 rosettes – 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th – with scores ranging from 65-67%. It was an indoor competition and they showed a little tension at times, but it was a very good education for them. All three have now qualified for the East Midlands Winter Dressage Championships and the Championships at David Broome’s in March.
Karen took the horse team to the BDS Show as part of a demonstration.
It was Blackie’s first time indoors, his first experience of applauding crowds and his first experience of music! He took it all in his stride and Karen was delighted.
Karen wins Pony Four-in-Hand Championship.
Lying first after a brilliant cross country run, Karen went on to come second on the cones course, but had so many penalty points in hand that she finished first overall. Many thanks to Ray Aziz for the loan of his ponies.
Karen will be driving Ray’s pony team at the National Championships at Windsor. See Competition page for results.
Karen did a six-in-hand horse drawn funeral in St Helens for a traveller.
The family insisted on walking in front of the hearse to the cemetery and caused the traffic in St Helens town centre to grind to a halt! Even the police struggled to keep the traffic moving, although they did stop the traffic to let the horse boxes out of the cemetery at the end of the funeral. See gallery for photo.
